Ode for a Breaking Heart

Aren't we all victims of wounded prides and flooding tears?

We knew from the start that pain is inevitable, and yet we delve sill into the fathomless pit of grief and torment. We never learn, so to speak. We have someone else's experience to guide us through the ordeal, and yet we never stop until we ourselves get burnt by the flames of love. I still strongly believe that loving someone shouldn't hurt at all. Why? Love is supposed to be accompanied with joy, backed with triumph and fidelity. But what has the world offered along with love? Pain, agony and sad to say, hate.

Yes, hate has been welcomed along with love. So emotion can be drawn from a single root –love. Love, such a powerful breeding word that could make everyone cry and laugh all the same time. Love can make you crazy and jealous and so many other vile things. Love is grotesque and yet many still would want to grab it. They say they would rather get hurt to have never experienced it all. But I tell you, they only say that before they have experienced the feeling. Yes. And after that, they curse the day they ever set eyes upon that person who brought havoc in their lives.

Well, cheers for those who've had their story with a happy ending, bravo to you.

And to those whose heart are mending, God is just writing the best love story that'll sweep you off your feet at this very moment.
